Wow! What a year!

So much has happened at Peaked Mountain Homestead this year! Just to name a few things, we moved our homestead, had 21 lambs and made 4 new yarns! We now have Luna and Luna Light, a beautiful 3 ply and single yarn in three variegated colors. Luna & Luna Light are both Fine Shetland wool that are so lovely to work with and have next to your skin. We have also created Monarch and Chrysalis which are Shetland & Finn wool, Alpaca and Milkweed! Monarch is a 2 strand DK and Chrysalis is a 2 ply DK both are perfect for shawls, cowls and lightweight sweaters! We also added a light grey and dark grey to our original 100% Fine Shetland yarn Moonshadow. We are now also offering luxurious Fine Shetland Wool Blankets in two patterns! They are heavenly to snuggle up with or wear around your shoulders!

Spring time!

Springtime means lambing! So far we have 10 lambs, (5 ewes and 5 ram lambs) with 2 more mommas to go. We have lots of veggie and flower starts going inside and soon the pastures will be green.

Moon Shadow Yarn

Right before the Holidays we were able to debut our own 100% Fine Shetland Wool Yarn from our very own Sheep. Andy and the other wonderful folks at the Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney brought our beautiful, supple yet rugged yarn to fruition.
